RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Illinois State men's tennis team fell in their last spring break matchup to UC Riverside 6-1.

Egehan Sertkya was the only Bird to pick up a point for the team, as the senior downed Riverside's Ju Anderson in No. 6 singles. Igor Kolaric and Jorge Quispe downed their doubles opponent 6-0, but the 'Brids fell in the other two matches, losing the doubles point.

 Riverside had already picked up a 3-0 lead as the squad earned the doubles point and picked up wins in No. 5 and No. 3 singles. Pol Botifoll Rius , Jorge Quispe and Aleksa Lazarevic had really close three-set battles, but ultimately came up short.The Redbirds battled but just fell short, resulting in a 6-1 loss to the Highlanders.
