SEDONA, Ariz. – The Illinois State women's golf team recorded their second-best three-round tournament score of the season with 912 (305-300-307) at the par-71 Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Arizona. The team placed 16th in the 18-team field.

Morgan Savage carded a career-best three-round score of 226 (71-79-76). The junior landed in a 55th place tie alongside teammate Becca Black. In round three, Black played 2-over-par to end with 226 (76-77-73).
Senior Caitlin Sims played 15-over-par over three rounds to end with 228 (76-72-78) and a 62nd place tie. Tatum King ended the tournament with a three-round score of 235 (82-75-78). The sophomore used six birdies over two days to secure her 88th place tie.Â
Paige Seiser used three birdies over three rounds to finish with a score of 241 (83-76-82). Individual player Emma Sutton carded a three-round score of 240 (83-77-80).Â
New Mexico State took the lead in round three, playing six-under-par to finish with 853 (281-294-278). Chanikan (Pluem) Yongyuan, of Southern Utah University, took home the best three-round score of the tournament, playing six-under-par over three rounds.

The Redbirds are playing at the Jan Weaver Invitational, hosted by Murray State, on April 5-6.
