AZUSA, Calif. – At the highly-competitive Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Azusa Pacific, in Azusa, California, Illinois State track and field junior Jack Anstey solidified his spot on ISU's top-10 list, posting the second-fastest 1,500-meter time in program history.
Racing in a loaded invitational section of the 1,500-meter, Anstey proved once again that he can hang with the best of the best, finishing 17th among 162 of the NCAA's most talented runners with a personal-best time of 3:42.83. Not only does this mark currently lead the MVC, but it ranks second all-time in the Illinois State record books. Anstey continues to close in on Christian Goy's school record, just missing it by 0.64 seconds.
