DALLAS, Texas. – Illinois State lost to Dallas Baptist, 13-3 on Saturday afternoon. The Redbirds scored first on a Parola three-run home run, but the Patriots scored 13 unanswered runs to secure the victory. The 'Birds drop to 27-16, 9-2 MVC on the season.

- Parola homered in the top of the third inning to put ISU up 3-0 on DBU. The Patriots scored two runs in the home half on a single to right field to trim the lead to 3-2.
- Dallas Baptist scored four runs in the home half of the fourth inning to take the lead 6-3 over ISU.
- The Patriots added three more runs in the home half of the fifth inning to extend their lead to 9-3.
- DBU scored four more runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning to lead 13-3 over ISU. The Redbirds did not score in the top half of seventh inning to end the game.
