DALLAS, Texas. – Illinois State lost its final game Sunday afternoon at Dallas Baptist by a final score of 11-4. The Redbirds took an early 2-0 lead after the top of the first, but would lose the game and the series. Illinois State drops to 27-17, 9-3 MVC.

Scoring Breakdown:
- Libman hit a two-run home run to right-center field in the first inning that put ISU up, 2-0. DBU responded with a run in the home half of the inning to make the score, 2-1.
- In the third inning, Joe Butler singled up the middle to score Libman to extend the Redbirds lead to 3-1. The Patriots scored four runs in the home half of the inning to go up 5-3.
- The Patriots scored one run in the sixth inning on a double to extend their lead to 6-3.
- Gaines singled home Rave in the top of the seventh inning to trim the lead to 6-4. Dallas Baptist responded with a run in the home half of the inning to make the score 7-4.
- DBU would tack on four more runs in the home half of the eighth inning to extend its lead to 11-4, as that would conclude the scoring in the game.
