NORMAL, Ill. – Senior men's tennis star Igor Kolaric has been selected to the Summit League's All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Wednesday, May 15.
"I am very proud of Igor and how he finished his career on the tennis court, but especially how he represented himself and our team in the classroom," Coach Klysner said. "This honor is well deserved."
The finance major was one of five Summit League men's tennis student-athletes to receive the prestigious honor after compiling an impressive cumulative 3.76 GPA. Kolaric has made the AFNI honor roll in all four of his semesters at ISU and was named to the Summit League Honor Roll last season. The 2018 Summit League Player of the Year has now accumulated All-League honors for his athletic and academic accomplishments.
The Birkenfeld, Germany, native played primarily at No. 1 singles this season, and posted a team-best 12-6 singles record in the spring dual season. He boasted a 14-8 overall record between the fall and spring season this academic year, and held a 7-3 doubles record with partner Diego Le Gal Perez.
