Illinois State Signs Harouna Sissoko to National Letter of Intent

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State head men's basketball coach Dan Muller has announced that Harouna Sissoko has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Redbirds starting in the 2019-20 season.

"We're excited to add Harouna to our program," said Muller. "He's a physical, versatile athlete that we believe has tremendous potential. As Harouna gets in our program and develops, we are excited about his future. He's a wonderful young man who is going to be a great contributor to our program."

Sissoko most recently played for Grand View Christian High School in Des Moines, Iowa, where he averaged 15.1 points while pulling down 159 rebounds. He also added 52 assists, 36 steals, and 32 blocked shots on the season, as he helped Grand View Christian to a 26-1 record and a Class 1A State Title.

Prior to his season in Iowa the Kayes, Mali, native played at Lincoln Academy in Suwanee, Georgia where he helped his team to a 25-9 overall record on the season.
