Illinois State baseball's Jack Butler is making an immediate impact for the Normal Cornbelters in their first season in the Prospect League, as the redshirt-junior has gone deep six times in his last eight games. Butler has a league-leading 10 home runs on the season, batting .284 at the plate.

- Was credited with his first win of the summer on June 23 in a 5-4 victory over Chillicothe. He went 2.0 scoreless innings, facing seven batters and adding a strikeout.

- Currently 0-1 with a 6.60 ERA in one start, with 18 strikeouts and 14 walks spanning 15.0 innings.
- Most recently held the DuPage Pistol Shrimp scoreless on June 30 in four and one-third innings, giving up two hits and striking out five.
