NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team had eight players featured on the Summit League's Academic Honor Roll, and three of those athletes also earned a spot on the Summit League's Commissioner's List.
"I am very proud of our guys and how they represented themselves and our team in the classroom," Coach Klysner said.
Earning a spot on the Academic Honor Roll was Jorge Adair Barta Quispe, Diego Emilio Moura Herrera, Igor Kolaric, Aleksa Lazarevic, Brandon Lew, Cameron Petersen, Zacharias Rankloo Rasmusson and Egehan Sertkaya. In order to be qualified, student-athletes must uphold a cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, and must have participated in the respective season. This is the second consecutive season that seven or more men's tennis players have received this academic award, and is the second-straight year that Kolaric, Lew, Petersen and Sertkaya have made the list.
Additionally, Kolaric, Lew and Sertkaya were recognized on the prestigious Summit League Commissioner's list. To be recognized, student-athletes must hold a 3.5 cumulative career grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, have completed at least three semesters at their respective institutions, and must have used a season of competition in the 2018-19 school year.
