NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State students will want to make sure they #BackTheBirds this September, as students will have the opportunity to receive a FREE t-shirt at select ISU Athletics events during the month as part of SHIRTEMBER.
SHIRTEMBER is a month-long student t-shirt giveaway promotion, where Illinois State Athletics will give away over 1500 t-shirts at five different athletic events. Each event will have a unique t-shirt design and will vary in color.Â
The dates for the t-shirt giveaways are:
- Saturday, September 7 – Football vs. Morehead State (Red Alert member giveaway only)
- Distribution in the Redbird Tent Zone at the Spack Stache Bash
- Sunday, September 8 – Soccer vs. Illinois
- Friday, September 13 – Volleyball vs. IllinoisÂ
- Saturday, September 21 – Football vs. Northern Arizona
- Friday, September 27 – Volleyball Pack the Arena
"This promotion is intended to get students involved in athletic events early in the year and to enhance their college experience," Director of Marketing Jordan Ashley said. "We know that our student section brings a lot to our gameday environment, so SHIRTEMBER was created to reward our students for their passion!"
Students can purchase a single-year Red Alert pass for $50 or the NEW four-year pass for $100 online at GoRedbirds.com/Tickets or by calling the ISU Athletics Ticket Office at (309) 438-8000. Single-game football tickets are $5 for all students without a Red Alert pass, and admission for students is free to volleyball and soccer.
