LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Illinois State (1-2) scored three runs in the top half of the ninth inning en route to a 4-2 win at Little Rock (2-1) Sunday afternoon. The win marks the first for the Redbirds in the 2020 campaign.

- Little Rock got on the board first with a run in the third inning due to a throwing error.
- Miguel Soto knocked in another run with an RBI double in the fourth to make it 2-0 in favor of the Trojans.
- A sacrifice fly by Ryan Hutchinson scored Aidan Huggins in the sixth inning to make it 2-1.
- The Redbirds scored three runs in the ninth , two of which came on a bunt single by Hutchinson and a throwing error by the Trojans on the play. Jake McCaw drove in the first run of the inning with a sacrifice fly to center field.
