ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Illinois State senior pitcher Michael Sebby has been featured in this week's Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete spotlight, presented by Enterprise Bank and Trust Company.
Sebby, a biological sciences major, has constructed a 3.83 grade-point average throughout his time at Illinois State. The 2019 Doug Collins Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year has tossed 5.0 innings so far this season in five appearances, yielding five runs on four hits while also striking out four batters.
To qualify for the MVC Scholar-Athlete spotlight, student athletes must have at least a 3.20 grade-point average, completed at least one year at an academic institution in the Valley and must be a sophomore in academic standing.
