NORMAL, Ill. – This year's Illinois State women's basketball Redbird Rally will be held at VIP's Corner Bar & Grill at 425 15th Street in Moline, Illinois, when the Redbirds head to the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, March 12-15.
The rally will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, shortly before the fourth-seeded Redbirds take on No. 5 UNI at 2:30 p.m. at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Illinois.
The event is open to the public and free of charge. Complimentary food and drinks will also be served.
Fans wanting to wish the Redbirds good luck before Friday's game can gather at the team hotel, the Radisson on John Deere Commons, for the sendoff at 1:15 p.m. The group will line-up at the entrance facing the TaxSlayer Center.
A program at VIP's Corner Bar & Grill will start at 1:30 p.m. and feature Illinois State University President Larry Dietz, Director of Athletics Larry Lyons, a member of the women's basketball coaching staff and performances by ISU's band and cheerleading team.
VIP's Corner Bar & Grill will be the official hangout location for the Redbirds throughout the entire weekend, where fans can meet before and after each game.
