BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois State Basketball Coaches Shows, featuring Illinois State head women's basketball coach Kristen Gillespie, will air tonight live from Hy-Vee Market Grille in Bloomington. Fans unable to attend the show can listen live on WJBC 1230-AM or on GoRedbirds.com, as Gillespie recaps the final week of Missouri Valley Conference play and previews the upcoming Hoops in the Heartland Tournament.
The Kristen Gillespie Show, hosted by Greg Halbleib, starts tonight at 6 p.m. Gillespie will be joined by player guest TeTe Maggett. Maggett has been the the consistent starter at point guard in her two years at ISU, appearing in 58 games and scoring over 900 points. The senior guard is averaging 15.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game during the 2019-20 season and is on track to earn her degree in Recreation Management in May 2020. The women's basketball team (19-10, 11-7 MVC) finished fourth in Valley standings and will take on the fifth-seeded UNI Panthers on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Illinois.
Fans are invited to watch Monday's shows live at the Hy-Vee Market Grille, located at 1403 North Veterans Parkway, in Bloomington. However, for those unable to attend the show in person, it will be broadcast live on WJBC 1230-AM and on GoRedbirds.com.
