NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State Basketball Coaches Shows presented by Bud Light, featuring Illinois State men's basketball head coach Dan Muller and women's basketball head coach Kristen Gillespie will air tonight. Fans can listen on WJBC 1230-AM or on GoRedbirds.com, as Muller and Gillespie recap last week's games and preview upcoming match-ups.
The Kristen Gillespie Show, hosted by Greg Halbleib, starts tonight at 6 p.m. Gillespie will be joined by junior guard Terrion Moore. Moore recorded seven points in Thursday night's 74-60 victory over Indiana State, also grabbing a team-high five boards and three assists. The junior went on to tally eight points, going 2-of-3 from long range and corralling four rebounds in Friday's 62-32 defeat of the Sycamores. Moore is averaging 10.4 points and 3.7 rebounds through her first seven games as a Redbird.
The women's basketball team (5-2, 2-2 MVC) kicks off a five-game homestand this week, hosting Valparaiso on Jan. 14-15 at Redbird Arena, with 4 p.m. tip-offs slated for both days.
The Dan Muller Show follows at 7 p.m., hosted by Dick Leudke. Muller will be joined by sophomore guard Antonio Reeves. Reeves led the Redbirds in scoring in both games at Evansville this weekend, tallying 11 points in Saturday's contest before posting a career-high 21 points in Sunday afternoon's 73-68 win, shooting 81.8% (9-of-11) from the field and pulling down six rebounds. Reeves is averaging 11.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game on the year.
The men's basketball team 4-6 (1-3 MVC) also kicks off a five-game homestand this weekend, hosting Indiana State at Redbird Arena on Jan. 16-17. Both games tip at 3 p.m.
