NORMAL, Ill. – The Evansville women's basketball team announced this afternoon that they will forfeit Friday's contest versus Illinois State at Redbird Arena.
The Purple Aces released the following statement in regards to their decision:
"In consultation with medical professionals associated with the program, the University of Evansville women's basketball team is unable to play this afternoon's game at Illinois State and will forfeit the contest."
Today's forfeit will count in each team's win-loss record.
The Redbirds will face I-74 rival Bradley on Wednesday night in Normal. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at Redbird Arena.
