LAST TIME OUT
ISU defeated NAIA Missouri Baptist, 91-42, in front of more than 1,400 local students as part of the program's Education Day held Wednesday at Redbird Arena.

Freshman guard Kenzie Bowers led the team in scoring, shooting 6-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-5 from behind the arc in her 27 minutes on the court. She became the first true freshman to lead the Redbirds in scoring in a game since Jan. 12, 2018 when Paige Saylor had a team-high 15 points in a 56-50 loss to Missouri State at Redbird Arena.

Junior forward DeAnna Wilson recorded ISU's first double-double of the season and third of her career, finishing with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Averaging team-highs in scoring (12.9 ppg) and rebounding (7.0 rpg), Wilson joins Abby Feit (UE), Abby Brockmeyer (SIU) and Jasmine Franklin (MSU) as the only players in the Valley to rank top-10 in both categories.

MOVIN' ON UP
Redshirt junior Mary Crompton has climbed into sixth place in ISU's career three-point field goal records and is currently 13 triples away from breaking into the top-5. Crompton is at 157 career three-pointers and trails former Redbirds Maggie Krick (5th – 169), Jaci McCormack (4th – 183), Jenny Schmidt (3rd – 205), Katie Broadway (2nd – 225) and Kristi Cirone (1st – 229).

SERIES HISTORY
The Redbirds and Flyers met three times in the 1980s, with Dayton holding a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series. ISU's lone victory came at home on Jan. 19, 1981 with a 80-53 win over the Flyers.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Having won four of its last five, Dayton (5-2) enters Redbird Arena led by sophomore Makira Cook and graduate student Erin Whalen, who are both averaging 15.1 points per game. Whalen also leads the Flyers on the glass, collecting 7.6 boards per contest.

Dayton most recently hosted Florida A&M Tuesday night and earned a 20-point victory with a 64-44 win at UD Arena. Whalen had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds while grad student Jenna Giacone had a team-high 19 points in the effort.

Head coach Shauna Green is in her sixth season with the Dayton program and holds a 106-46 overall record, after previously serving on the Flyers staff from 2012-15. Green has been named the A-10 Coach of the Year twice during her tenure at Dayton, in 2018 and again in 2020.
