Drake closed the half on an 8-2 run to take a 15-point, 39-24 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Illinois State quickly cut the margin to 10 a minute and a half into the second half after a Washington three-pointer, but a 16-2 Bulldog run pushed the margin to 24, before Drake cruised to the 35-point win.
