JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Illinois State sophomore Dayna Kennedy recorded the Redbirds' lone hit against Clemson on Friday morning, as the Tigers, who are receiving votes in the NFCA Preseason Top 25 Poll, took advantage of a trio of errors by ISU in an 11-0 win.

BY THE NUMBERS / KEY INNINGS
- Clemson set the tone early, as the lead-off Tiger tripled and scored on an ISU throwing error. A one-out home run pushed two more across to help Clemson take an early 3-0 lead over the Redbirds.
- An RBI single and sac fly in the next two innings pushed Clemson out to a five-run advantage, while a lineout to Madi Bylak at shortstop helped the Redbirds turn their second double play of the season to hold the Tigers scoreless in the fourth.
- A lead-off walk by Mack Leonard in the home half of the fourth inning gave ISU its first base runner of the game.
- The Tigers capitalized on a pair of Redbird errors in the fifth inning, scratching six runs across, before ISU slammed the door on the frame by turning a 4-6-3 double play.
- Kennedy notched a lead-off single to right center field in the top of the fifth, ruining Clemson starting pitcher Valerie Cagle's no-hitter in her first career appearance. Cagle and the Tigers responded with a pair of strikeouts and a fielder's choice to grab the run-rule win over ISU.
