  • Valparaiso responded with an RBI single up the middle – its first hit of the game – in the home half of the fourth.
  • A sac fly in foul territory by Kaili Chval helped the Redbirds jump back out to a four-run advantage in the top of the sixth, before a two-RBI double from Emme Olson extended ISU's lead.
  • Valpo recorded its second hit in the final frame, but a pop up to Day in the infield sealed the 7-1 win for the Redbirds and regular season title.
