NORMAL, Ill. – One of the longest rivalries in FCS football resumes this weekend, when Illinois State travels to Charleston to take on Eastern Illinois in the 109th Mid-America Classic on Saturday. ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the game with the Panthers on Thursday at The Brock Spack Show, presented by Bud Light, live from Schooners in Bloomington beginning at 6 p.m.
Coach Spack will talk with Redbird football play-by-play voice Dick Luedke and longtime color analyst Ted Schmitz about his team's preparation for the rivalry game and what he learned about his squad after last week's contest at Western Michigan. This week, the crew will be joined by senior defensive tackle Jacob Powell as the player guest.Â
Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com and The Varsity Network. Portions of the show will also be broadcast live on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
All patrons planning to attend the show in person will be asked to abide by all safety guidelines set by Schooners, the town of Bloomington and the State of Illinois.
