NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team will host its final homestand this upcoming weekend, welcoming Missouri State on Friday and Southern Illinois on Sunday in a pair of games with major implications for conference standings.
Here's what's happening at Redbird Arena this week:
Girls and Women in Sport Celebration – Friday, Feb. 18 vs. Missouri State
Join ISU Athletics in honoring the accomplishments of female athletes and recognizing the influence of sports participation in women and girls at Friday's matchup with the Lady Bears. The Redbirds will be continuing its year-long celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Title IX and highlighting some of the rich history of women's athletics at Illinois State.
The Alamo II will be on-site with merchandise from the recently launched Title IX apparel line.
Senior Day / Black History Month Game / Student Appreciation Day – Sunday, Feb. 20 vs. Southern Illinois
The women's basketball team will be honoring three student-athletes in a pregame senior ceremony on Sunday: Lexy Koudelka, Kayel Newland and Juliunn Redmond.
Illinois State Athletics is proud to continue celebrating Black History Month at Sunday's game, honoring Black leaders in Redbird history and recognizing those who continue to fight for change.
Red Alert will be having a massive student giveaway, with some of their most popular old giveaway items and previous Red Alert t-shirts up for grabs.
Sunday's game will also feature performances by ISU's drumline, cheerleading team, dance team and the Red Elite Dolls.
