BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Illinois State and Bowling Green will square off for the second time this season, when the Redbirds travel to Ohio Saturday to face the Falcons in a dual meet at Anderson Arena beginning at 1 p.m. CT.
"The team has really stepped up this week to help fill some line-up spots due to a couple minor injuries that need time to rest and heal," ISU head coach Bob Conkling said. "It should be exciting meet and a great opportunity for those new line-up routines to be shown in competition. I'm so proud of this team and all their efforts to improve each day in workouts."
The two teams previously competed against each other on January 15 at Michigan State. The Redbirds posted a score of 192.625 to come in second behind the host Spartans, but ahead of BGSU in third place with a score of 192.400.
Last weekend, the Redbirds posted a season-high team score of 194.525 to come in third place behind Ball State and Central Michigan. ISU started strong with a 48.550 on floor, which tied a season best, and then followed with a stellar performance on vault posting a season-high 48.825.
ISU was led by Angelica Labat, who finished second in the all-around with a score of 38.475 just ahead of teammate Alana Laster, who competed in the all-around for the first time this season with a score of 38.175.
