NCAA Tournament Tip Time Set, ‘Birds To Play on ESPN

INDIANAPOLIS – The Illinois State women's basketball team (19-13, 12-6 MVC) is set to take the national stage this Friday, taking on second-seeded Iowa in Iowa City at 3 p.m. CT. The game will be aired on ESPN, with Beth Mowins and Christy Thomaskutty on the call.

Illinois State punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament yesterday afternoon, defeating UNI, 50-48, at the TaxSlayer Center in the title game of the Missouri Valley Conference Championship.

This marks the first time since 2008 that ISU has made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the sixth overall.
