2022 Hoops in the Heartland Info

MOLINE, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team is set for the 2022 Hoops in the Heartland MVC Tournament held at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Ill. After wins over #5 Loyola Chicago and #1 Southern Illinois, your Redbirds are taking on #3 UNI in the championship game on Sunday, March 13 at 1 p.m. CT.

TICKETS
Tickets are available at the TaxSlayer Center upon arrival in Moline.

PARKING
Free parking is offered anywhere in the TaxSlayer Center parking lot.

TEAM SENDOFF
Fans who wish to partake in the women's basketball team's sendoff as they head over to the TaxSlayer Center before the championship can meet in the lobby of the Radisson on John Deere Commons (1415 River Dr., Moline, Ill.). The team plans to leave the hotel at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 13, prior to their championship match-up with UNI. 

REDBIRD RALLY
Redbird fans heading to Moline to watch our women's basketball team play in the championship can also stop by Pour Bros Taproom tomorrow for a pre-game rally. The event is open to the public and the program includes performances by ISU's band and cheerleading team.

When: 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. prior to ISU's 1 p.m. tip-off on Sunday, March 13
Where: Pour Bros Taproom (1209 4th Ave Suite 2, Moline, Ill.)

Affectionately coined "Hoops in the Heartland," the four-day event (Mar. 10-13) showcases all 10 Missouri Valley Conference schools as they compete for the Valley's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. The 2022 tournament marks the 15th-consecutive season that the event will take place at a neutral site.
