NORMAL, Ill. – Redshirt senior Logan Calvin is set to throw the shot put among the nation's best at the 2022 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships on Friday, June 24 at 8:42 p.m. CT (6:42 p.m. PT) at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Last time out, Calvin earned First Team All-America honors in the men's shot put at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Calvin finished sixth overall with a throw of 19.89m (65-3.25).
With his finish, Calvin became the highest finisher in school history in the men's shot put, as Curt Jensen finished eighth at both the 2014 NCAA indoor and outdoor championships.
Former Redbird Tim Glover (2010-13) will join Calvin at the USATF Championships, throwing the javelin. A two-time NCAA Champion and three-time First Team All-American, Glover will compete on Sunday, June 26 at 2:35 p.m. CT (12:35 p.m. PT).
