MACOMB, Ill. - The Illinois State and Western Illinois baseball game scheduled for Wednesday has been rained out after WIU's all-natural field took in heavy rain Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
Illinois State's schedule is now down to 50 games with room to add six games to reach the maximum of 56. ISU has had games against Nebraska (3/12), Eastern Illinois (3/17-19), Minnesota (3/22), and now Western Illinois (4/5) cancelled due to weather. ISU's original schedule featured 55 games.
Illinois State beat Illinois on Tuesday, 12-9. The Redbirds beat Western Illinois, 6-1, on March 15 in ISU's home opener.

Illinois State is scheduled to play at Indiana State over April 7-9.
