NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State baseball team dropped a 10-0 decision in seven innings at Duffy Bass Field on Friday night as UIC scored five times in the opening frame and nine runs in the first three innings.
Illinois State (18-27 overall, 7-15 Missouri Valley Conference) was led by two hits by second-year sophomore Noah Rabin.
UIC improves to 24-21 overall, 10-12 MVC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
A two-out grand slam in the opening frame powered UIC to a 5-0 lead, which ballooned to 9-0 through three innings.
UIC scored once in the 6th inning to earn the run-rule victory.
