GREEN BAY, Wis. - Sophomore Aida Shadewald recorded a pair of career-high performances with 33 kills over a pair of Illinois State volleyball matches on Friday at the Kress Center versus St. Thomas and South Dakota, respectively. The Redbirds picked up their first win of the 2023 season in three sets over UST before dropping a four-set match to USD.
Shadewald had 15 kills on a .429 clip against St. Thomas and 18 kills on a .286 mark against South Dakota. The 18 kills against the Coyotes is a new four-set career high for the Prairie du Sac, Wis. native.
The Redbirds move to 1-10 while St. Thomas finishes Friday 4-7 and South Dakota jumps to 5-5.
