Terre Haute, Ind.- The Illinois State Track & Field program headed to Terre Haute Indiana to compete for the Coughlan/Malloy Cup on Friday afternoon, however the host Sycamores came away with the 178-118 win in the annual dual meet inside the Indiana State Indoor Track and Field Facility.
Men's and women's team scores are combined into an overall score and the team with the highest combined total wins the traveling The Coughlan-Malloy Cup.
On the women's side, the Redbirds tallied a total of four event wins, including freshman Colleen Zeibert who claimed her first colligate victory in the women's mile as she finished the race 15 seconds faster than the pack behind her. In the women's 800m run, freshman Grace Erb took first with a time of 2:14.95 and also secured her first college victory.
Junior Mattison Plummer took first in the women's 3,000m with a time of 9:59.04, and just behind her was junior Viviana Sanfilippo with a time of 9:59.67. Junior Madison Saunders took first in the women's triple jump, with a top leap of 11.48m (37- 8.00).
On the men's side, senior Brandon Ratliff took first in the men's 60m hurdles with a time of 8.01. Ratliff also took second in the men's 200m dash with a time of 21.98. Junior Zack Loomis also took home the top spot in the men's 3,000m with a time of 8:24.36.

The Redbirds are set to travel to Iowa City for the Larry Wieczorek Invite, hosted by the Iowa Hawkeyes beginning on Friday, January 20 and concluding on Saturday, January 21.
