NORMAL, Ill. – The Kristen Gillespie Show, featuring Illinois State head women's basketball coach Kristen Gillespie airs tonight live from BloNo Pizza Co. in Normal.

Tonight's Kristen Gillespie show, hosted by Greg Halbleib, begins at 6 p.m as Gillespie will be joined by graduate forward DeAnna Wilson. The St. Louis native is coming off a stellar two-game stretch, guiding Illinois State to home wins over UNI and MVC-leading Drake last week. Wilson averaged 25.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in the two wins, opening with a 26-point performance against UNI Thursday that tied her career-high for the third time in MVC play before capping it off with 24 points and 7 boards in a thrilling win over Drake. Since the start of Valley play, the 2023 All-MVC Second Team selection and 2023 Preseason All-MVC First Team selection is averaging 18.1 points (3rd in MVC) and 7.4 rebounds (6th in MVC) per game while earning a pair of MVC Player of the Week honors.
Illinois State earned crucial wins over the Panthers and Bulldogs last week to improve to 9-1 on the year at home and 13-6 overall (6-3 in MVC). Illinois State opens a three-game road stretch with a Sunday tilt at Indiana State this week before return games at UNI (Feb. 8) and Drake (Feb. 10) the following week.
