She also turned in a season best in the 1000y Free with a time of 10:35.04 that finished second. Reyes kept her career undefeated home 1M record intact with a total score of 278.25 on Saturday which moved her career record to 6-0 at home on the 1M boards.
DIVER OF THE WEEK
For the first time in her career Illinois State junior Gaby Russell earned MVC Diver of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Russell set two personal bests en route to punching her first-career NCAA Zone Diving Championship ticket on the 3M boards. She posted a mark of 290.18 in 3M as the Illinois State divers competed at Milwaukee Friday. That mark ranks fourth in the MVC this season and fourth in the Illinois State top ten list, while booking her first trip to the NCAA Zone Diving championship with the performance. Russell also scored 260.10 in 1M, a personal best for the junior.
She is the second Redbird to win MVC Diver of the Week this season, joining Eva Reyes.
