ST LOUIS – Illinois State landed a league-high 13 athletes on the MVC Scholar Athlete team, as announced by the league office following the 2024 MVC Championships.
That group includes six athletes who earned a 4.0 GPA, and seven athletes who earned MVC Scholar Athlete Team honors for the first time.
Highlighting the honorees were both of Illinois State's MVC championship-winning athletes from the 2024 MVC Championships. Emma Feltzer earned Scholar Athlete team honors after winning her second career MVC gold medal, going a school-record 49.33 for first in the 100y Freestyle. On the boards, Eva Reyes took home a third consecutive 1M Dive title, becoming the first diver in league history to win 1M Dive titles as a freshman, sophomore and junior. She is a first-time Scholar Athlete team selection following the historic performance.
Joining Reyes as a first-time Scholar Athlete team honorees were Chloe Tyler, Mia Snow, Ella Glaspie, Ella Turken, Delaney Boulden and Lauren Wisdom.
To be selected to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team, student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and athletically and meet one of the following criteria:

3.3 cumulative GPA and all-conference, or
-
3.5 cumulative GPA and top sixteen finish in individual event at championship, or

3.8 cumulative GPA and participation in MVC Championship, including non-scorers
