BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Senior Auggie Rasmussen hit two home runs in Illinois State baseball's 16-6 seven-inning win over Indiana on Wednesday at Bart Kaufman Field.

Rasmussen's pair of blasts plated five of nine runs for Illinois State in the 2nd inning as the Redbirds (6-8 overall) pounded out 15 hits.

Judah Morris tallied three hits, four RBIs, and two runs while Daniel Pacella had two hits with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Indiana moves to 9-8 overall.

Illinois State got on the board first in the 1st inning off an RBI single by Morris as Luke Lawrence came in to score off an error by Indiana's left fielder.

In the 2nd inning, Rasmussen sent a two-run shot over the right field fence to make it 3-0 ILS.

Following two more RBI hits by the Redbirds, Pacella sent out his fourth homer of the season to plate Luke Cheng and move ILS' lead to 7-0.

As ILS batted around, Rasmussen was back up to the plate in the 2nd as the senior sent out a three-run shot to grow the lead to 10-0 after two innings.

In the 3rd inning, Morris cleared the bases for ILS with an RBI double as he would come around to score a few pitches later, making it 14-0 ILS.

In the 4th inning, junior JT Sokolove tallied the fourth homerun of the afternoon, sending one out to the Indiana bullpen as ILS led 15-0.

The Hoosiers would score in the 5th inning with two RBI singles, an RBI double, and an ILS error to make it 15-5 ILS.

Indiana would take advantage of another Redbird error in the 6th inning to make it 15-6.

Pacella singled up the middle in the 7th inning to push the lead back to double digits, for the final score margin of 16-6.
