NORMAL, Ill. – Sophomore Daniel Pacella had two hits while senior Auggie Rasmussen hit his fourth home run of the season in Illinois State baseball's 12-6 loss to Bradley at Duffy Bass Field on Saturday.
Pacella tallied three RBIs while Rasmussen's solo blast led the Redbirds (10-11 overall, 0-2 MVC) in a game that saw ISU finish with seven hits while stranding six runners.
Bradley improves to 8-13 overall and 2-0 in the MVC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Bradley scored the game's first seven runs before Rasmussen's solo home run in the 2nd inning.
The Redbirds scored the game's next four runs prior to a Braves home run in the 3rd inning.
Bradley scored once in the 5th and 6th innings to make it 10-5.
The Braves would expand the lead to 12-5 with two more runs in the 7th inning.
Junior Noah Rabin added an RBI groundout in the 7th inning.
