EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Illinois State baseball team dropped a 13-1 decision in seven innings at Charles A. Braun Stadium on Sunday afternoon as Evansville scored seven runs in the first four innings.
Illinois State (18-15 overall, 7-5 MVC) totaled three hits. Evansville improves to 18-17 overall and 7-5 in the MVC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
A five-run 4th inning powered Evansville to a 7-0 lead.
Evansville scored once in the 5th inning and five times in the 6th to earn the run-rule victory.
Illinois State scored their lone run in the 6th with a sac fly from sophomore Daniel Pacella.
