MURRAY, Ky. - Illinois State baseball team dropped the series opener at Murray State by a 3-0 scoreline Friday at Johnny Reagan Field.
Illinois State (20-19 overall, 8-8 MVC) was led by two hits from junior Noah Rabin. The Redbirds now have a four-game losing streak.
Murray State improves to 25-16 overall and 8-8 in the MVC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Murray State scored three times in the 4th inning to lead 3-0.
The Redbirds had multiple runners on base in the 3rd, 4th, and 7th inning.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Freshman Matthew Donnison provided 4.0 innings of relief with four strikeouts
- The Redbirds were shutout for the second time in 2024.
- Sophomore Luke Lawrence extended his team-long on-base streak to 25 games with a single in the 1st inning.
