BLOOMINGTON, Ill.-- Illinois State men's tennis concluded a Sunday doubleheader sweeping both Marquette University (Big East) and EIU (OVC) at Evergreen Racquet Club by scores of 4-3 and 6-1.
Head coach Mark Klysner was happy with the composure the team had by coming back in matches and also forcing multiple tiebreakers.
 "I'm really happy how we finished the weekend. I know the guys were tired after last night's match so to come out today and pull out a couple of wins was nice and much needed. We definitely have some things to work on and get better for next weekend (Ball State)," Klysner said.
The Redbirds swept singles play against Eastern Illinois. Against Marquette, ISU claimed two doubles matches and three singles matches.
Illinois State continues the home stand when they host Ball State University (MAC) on Jan 25, at 4:30 PM before hitting the road to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (ACC) in South Bend, Indiana on Jan 26.
