NORMAL, Ill. – Winners of three straight and four out of their last five, the No. 13 ranked Illinois State football team will head to Brookings, South Dakota, for a pivotal conference matchup against No. 15 South Dakota State on Saturday. ISU head Coach Brock Spack will preview this week's game against the Jackrabbits at Schooners on Thursday at 6 p.m. at The Brock Spack Show, presented by Redbird Ale from DESTIHL.
Coach Spack will chat with Redbird football play-by-play voice John Fitzgerald and longtime color analyst Ted Schmitz about his team's dominant offensive performance in a 52-20 win on the road last Saturday and Indiana State and preview this weekend's game against the Jacks. They will be joined by junior middle linebacker Tye Niekamp and ISU defensive coordinator Travis Niekamp as this week's special guests.
Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com and The Varsity Network. Portions of the show will also be broadcast live on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
For the final show of the regular season on November 20, the show will start a half hour earlier than usual at 5:30 p.m. to allow for the men's basketball pregame show to air at 6:30 p.m. prior to the game at 7 p.m. that night on WJBC.
