LOS ANGELES, Calif.-- The Illinois State women's tennis team (6-6) dropped a match up with Utah State (5-5) of the Mountain West Conference on Monday, March 10 by a score of 6-1 in Los Angeles.
Despite the Birds dropping the doubles point to the Aggies, junior Nuria Sanz (Valencia, Spain) and freshman Nicole Iosio (Cordenons, Italy) picked up a victory at No. 3 (6-3). In singles play, graduate student Elena Jankulovska battled to a 0-6, 7-6 (3), 1-0 (10-8) win at the No. 5 position.
ISU will return to action as they take on the University of California Irvine in Los Angeles at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Mar. 11).Â
