BLOOMINGTON, Ill.-- The Illinois State women's tennis team (6-4) defeated Eastern Illinois (2-12) on Sunday (Mar. 2) inside Evergreen Racquet Club by a score of 6-1. The Birds picked up the doubles point and five sets of singles via multiple EIU withdrawals.
The Redbirds return to action on March. 7 as Illinois State travels to Edwardsville for a matchup with SIUE. ISU will have a quick turnaround with a trip to Irvine, California for consecutive road matches with Utah State (Mountain West Conference) and UC-Irvine (Big West Conference) on March 10-11 inside the UCI Tennis Stadium.
