Illinois State Falls in 14-10 Decision to Missouri State

NORMAL, Ill. – Despite leading after six innings, the Illinois State baseball team dropped a 14-10 contest to Missouri State.

Illinois State (21-22 overall, 10-9 Missouri Valley Conference) allowed six runs in the 8th inning to trail, 14-9. 

Senior Judah Morris tallied two home runs while senior Daniel Contreras and sophomore Graham Mastros recorded multiple RBIs.

Missouri State moves to 24-19 overall, 14-5 MVC.

  • The Bears got on the board first with back-to-back home runs in the top of the 1st
  • ISU responded with home runs from Shai Robinson and Judah Morris in the bottom of the 1st to make it 2-2
  • Missouri State regained the lead with an RBI groundout in the 2nd for the 3-2 advantage
  • Morris added his second home run of the afternoon in the 4th to tie the game at 3-3
