NORMAN, Okla. – The Illinois State men's golf team has been named as a recipient of the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Tuesday afternoon.
The Redbirds were named to the All-Academic Team, which includes schools with cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
ISU is coming off a season in which the team picked up a come-from-behind win at the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Championship, while remaining in contention for a spot at the 2025 NCAA National Championships through the first two and a half rounds of the NCAA Urbana Regional.
The team had three consecutive tournaments in which the team carded a score under par, including a 36-hole score of -5 at the Kishwaukee Intercollegiate, and back-to-back eight-under 856's at the Hawkeye Invite at Finkbine Golf Course and at the MC Championship.
