NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State football team made a historic run to the NCAA FCS Championship game, breaking records along the way to accomplish a feat that had only been accomplished once previously in school history. To commemorate the record-breaking season, Illinois State Athletics will host a Redbird Football Celebration on Wednesday, January 14, beginning at 5 p.m. inside CEFCU Arena.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., with the program set to begin around 5:15 p.m. The event will feature comments from Head Coach Brock Spack and select players as well as special video features and recaps.
The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive free food and the first 1,500 fans will receive a commemorative team poster celebrating the national runner-up finish.
At the end of the celebration, fans are encouraged to stick around to watch the Redbird men's basketball team's road contest at Indiana State on the video board at 6 p.m.
