NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State swim and dive program closed out its dual meet against UNI on Saturday afternoon at Horton Pool.
After two days of action from Horton Pool, Illinois State fell to UNI with a score of 202-151. Despite the defeat, the Redbirds secured two new Horton Pool facility records and four event wins across the second day of action in Normal.
To close out action Saturday, the Redbirds A 400 Y Relay team of Davis, Tyler, Turken, and Snow captured the Horton Pool facility record with a mark of 3:27.29 to secure the event win.
Senior Mia Snow recorded a new Horton Pool facility record with a time of 55.06 on her path to secure the event victory in the 100 Fly.
Junior Sylvia Admire secured the Redbirds' first event win of the meet in the 500 Y Free with a time of 5:04.78, a season-best mark.
Freshman Ava Ostendorf earned the event victory in the 200 Y Breast with a time of 2:19.44. The Gonzales, La. native's mark now sits as the seventh fastest time in school history.
To open the meet, Illinois State's A 200 Y Medley Relay team of Tyler, Fris, Snow, and Turken earned a runner-up finish with a mark of 1:44.10.
Senior Chloe Tyler added another runner-up finish in the 200 Y Back with a time of 2:02.95. Sophomore Amelia Murphy added a season-best mark of 2:04.31 to finish third.
In the 1M Dive, Sophomore Emma Thompson led the way for the Redbirds with a score of 229.28 to finish fourth.

The Redbirds will return on Saturday, Jan. 31, in a dual meet against Eastern Illinois on Senior Day. Action from Horton Pool is set to begin at 2 p.m.
