ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Following a third-place finish at the 2026 Dayton Flyer Invitational, Illinois State junior golfer Gabriele Bravin has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.
Bravin had rounds of 70 (-1), 73 (+2), and 68 (-3) for a tournament score of 211 (-2), good for a tie for third place in the field. The 68 is tied for the lowest on the team this season, and his 211 is tied for the 20th-lowest by an ISU junior in program history.
The Monza, Italy, native, has a season scoring average of 76.7 – fourth best on the team – while three of his 12 rounds have been at or under par this season.
He is the second Redbird – in as many weeks – to earn MVC Golfer of the Week honors, as Fernando Cobo Delgado picked up the award a week ago.
ISU concluded its fall season at the Flyer Invitational and will compete next on February 15 at the Border Olympics, hosted by the University of Houston at the Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas.
