CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois State swim and dive program closed out its regular season with the 20th UIC Diving Invite Saturday afternoon at Flames Natatorium.
The Redbird divers of Junior Selena Corona, Freshman Reese Huber, Sophomore Emma Thompsen, and Freshman Bayley Fowler each competed for Illinois State in the 1-meter dive, 3-meter dive, and the team springboard event.
Freshman Bayler Fowler led the way for the Redbirds in the 1-meter dive with a score of 216.65. Fowler, the highest-placing diver for Illinois State, secured a 13th-place finish.
Junior Selena Corona earned an 11th-place finish with a score of 221.40 in the 3-meter dive, the highest of all Redbirds. Sophomore Emma Thompson finished one place behind Corona with a score of 221.30.
All four divers for Illinois State earned a fourth-place finish for the Redbirds in the team springboard event with a score of 223.90

The Redbirds will return for the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, which are set to begin on Feb. 25, in Evansville, Ind.
