Redbirds Head To Saint Louis For Tuesday Afternoon Matchup

NORMAL, Ill. –   The Illinois State baseball program will head to St. Louis, Mo. to take on Saint Louis Tuesday afternoon at the Billikens Sports Center. First pitch is set for 3 p.m., and the contest will be available to stream via ESPN+.

The mid-week matchup marks the 66th meeting all-time between the two programs. Illinois State holds a 41-24 advantage in the all-time series, despite falling to Saint Louis in the most recent contest in 2024.

The Redbirds head to the Show-Me State after falling to Eastern Kentucky in a three-game set over the weekend. Junior Graham Mastros led Illinois State offensively across the series with an 8-for-13 performance and tallied three extra-base hits, including a home run. Mastros leads the Missouri Valley Conference with five home runs and 17 runs batted in through the first 15 contests to open the 2026 campaign.

Saint Louis enters Tuesday's meeting after recording a series sweep over Bradley across the weekend. The Billikens are led by first-year interim head coach Miles Miller, who took the helm of the program after serving as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. Redshirt Sophomore Joey Canzoni leads Saint Louis offensively with a .291 batting average and a pair of home runs in 2026.

PROJECTED STARTER

Redshirt Sophomore Carson Cormier is set to make his third start of 2026 on Tuesday. In three appearances, Cormier has tallied 11 strikeouts in 9.0 innings pitched.
