NORMAL, Ill. — The Illinois State women's swimming and diving team was recognized as a Spring 2026 Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced July 1. The honor marks the Redbirds' 32nd consecutive semester earning Scholar All-America Team recognition, receiving the award every semester since its inception in Fall 2010.
"One aspect that drew me to Illinois State was the tradition of academic success within our swim and dive program," said head coach Ryan Evans. "Our student-athletes continue to set a high standard in the classroom, and being recognized as a Scholar All-America team is a reflection of their hard work and commitment. I'm proud of what this group accomplished this year and excited to see them continue building on that success in the future."
Illinois State was honored for outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2026 semester after posting a 3.62 team grade-point average. The Redbirds were also one of six Missouri Valley Conference institutions represented on this year's Scholar All-America Team list.
The CSCAA Scholar All-America Team award recognizes collegiate swimming and diving programs that have demonstrated excellence in the classroom by achieving a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher during the semester.Â
