EUGENE, Ore. – Illinois State's Pauline Schedler competed in the 1500-meter event at the World Athletics U20 Championships Oregon 26 on Thursday.
"Pauline has had an incredible freshman year as a Redbird," said Jeff Bovee, Director of Track & Field/Cross Country. "Finishing her season at the U20 World Championships speaks for itself. We are super proud of her!"
Schedler represented Austria during the race, placing 12th in her heat with a time of 4:27.29. She was the only Austrian representative among the 42 participants in the event.
Schedler shifts her focus to the upcoming cross-country season, beginning Friday, September 4, at 11 a.m. in Champaign, Illinois. The rising sophomore will look to build off her All-Valley Honorable Mention performance from her freshman season.
